Software Test: Panda Cloud Antivirus

Summary

We spent approximately a week exploring alternatives to Microsoft Security Essentials and familiarizing ourselves with Panda Cloud antivirus. It was good to see that the market is teeming with free solutions, which sometimes compete with paid versions. If we just wanted to make a simple recommendation, we would obviously have done a lot easier, except we were looking for a kind of clone. It would be unfounded to say that we found the flawless solution in the person of Panda, but it is undeniable that he made good impressions on us.

First, we have been convinced from several independent sources that this antivirus is not only more effective than MSE, but also lips many other rivals. In terms of installation process, user interface and usability, we got exactly what we've been looking for for a long time - there are minor shortcomings, of course. There were also more or less incidents during the more than a week-long test period, which was related to the fact that we installed Panda next to an existing antivirus for the first time. This proved to be a very bad idea, we would definitely warn our readers against it, because with this maneuver we managed to make some modules of the program inoperable. Nor can it be ruled out that only Fortuna left us, in any case we do not think it is worth taking the risk.

Before the final evaluation, a short service announcement: The software test is again a novel initiative from us, and we admittedly do not know what our future will be. Obviously, continuation will be a matter of demand on the one hand and resource on the other.

What else can we say about Panda Cloud antivirus? We think he can clearly replace MSE, so he gets the plecsni!
