Software Test: Panda Cloud Antivirus
One of the most time-consuming, costly test series in the AV-Comparatives test lab is the so-called Real-World Protection Test. The long-term dynamic scan runs with the default settings of the antivirus, which is especially good news when looking for an easy-to-use solution. The first place in the current list is Kaspersky IS 2014 - it is not free, it is not very expected - and the second place is Panda. Based on the efficiency of detection, we can talk about 99,9 and 99,8 percent, of 1821 test cases, 1820 and 1817 were disarmed, respectively. Free Avast produced 98,7% (1795) and MSE 91,9% (1674) - the rest will come from the AV-TEST Institute. So AV-Comparatives surprisingly put Panda Security: Cloud Antivirus on the second cluster of the podium, in the first cluster (there are four classes, the best are in the first level).

In the final evaluation of AV-Comparatives, we will see that Panda strengthens the Advanced ++ category. This is because although he settled 1821 out of 1817 incidents without user intervention, in the meantime, there were 42 cases where he erroneously alerted a file or Internet address. As the average is 12, a serious score was made in the classification.
Lessons learned
Although AV-Comparatives doesn't seem to specialize in free programs, fortunately Panda Security: Cloud Antivirus 2.3 is here, and it didn't even perform well by the way. The (relatively) high number of false alarms is by no means a joyous phenomenon, hopefully an average home user won’t run into cases like the test lab. It’s also worth noting that the much-scolded MSE neutralized 91,9 percent of the threats.

The other is great
Now hold on tight, more numbers are coming. The AV-TEST Institute works according to a different methodology. In the ranking, we see that the best software scores 6 points and the worst scores 0 points. Several applications closed with maximum points, but of the free programs, only Panda Security: Cloud Antivirus 2.3 did so. Qihoo: 360 Internet Security 4.2 and Comodo: Internet Security 6.3 5,5 points - someone will be happy about this - Baidu: Antivirus 1.6 4,5 points, AVG: Anti-Virus Free Edition 2014 4.0 points, Avast: And Free AntiVirus 2014 was able to scratch together 3.0 points. We also received a second confirmation, the “bear-headed virus scanner” again in the lead.
