LG HB965TZ and HB45E: Christmas Blu-ray home cinema with LG
Wow. This article has been very successful for a long time, not only have we not saved with the number of characters, the number of working hours is also very high, not even in terms of writing the article, but as long as I have thoroughly tested the products themselves. Of course, this is not a complaint, but good news because it means there was something to try and the test subjects are blessed with great knowledge. This statement is LG For the HB965TZ and HB45E, it stands up to its maximum. These devices are no longer simply home theater systems that can also play bluray discs, but all-knowing entertainment centers.
They play almost everything in terms of videos, music and pictures, now it doesn't matter if we offer players with DivX, WMV or even MKV, the operation will be successful in the vast majority of cases. Although we received an error message during one of the MKV rehearsals, it didn't really matter, as despite the message, the player played the material perfectly and error-free. The good thing is that these units are already so versatile that they handle all types of media. Looking at optical discs, we can attack with CDs, DVDs, bluray signals, but if you have a large flash drive or an external hard drive with USB, full series, you can safely connect it and you're ready to go.
It's not a problem if most of our content is on our computer, after sharing we can easily stream it to the LG home cinema, so no disk or flash drive is needed, but for HD content it is necessary to have an N WiFi connection or a wired network use. Access to the Internet with these LG products is not an obstacle, of course in a limited form. If you have a video on Youtube that you would like to show to your family and friends, you can easily do so with NetCast, but the same is true for Picasa Web Albums. If you’re not in the mood to wait for the evening weather, or sit in front of the machine and type in a website, think of AccuWheater, which rushes to our aid in a matter of seconds within NetCaston. Importantly, in addition to the plethora of extra features, LG also knows well what is required.
If you want maximum sound and picture quality in the simplest way, just insert a bluray movie into the player, bring in a beer and a popcorn, sit back and enjoy the experience. If we do all this with the HB965TZ, the sound will also be enchanting, but if we don’t have the option or don’t want to buy a 5.1 system and the HB45E is the choice, we’ll be happy with that too. I can say two negatives about LG’s two products. One is that although the menu is very nice and easy to use, it follows our instructions with a slightly sluggish, rather large phase delay even in the HB965TZ, which is an absolutely high-end set. This thing could still be improved, but the other problem is quite relative, and that is the purchase price.
Although the prices of bluray technology and the products based on it are falling rapidly, a high-end, all-knowing and all-inclusive set is still a cheap pastime. The LG HB965TZ can be purchased for around HUF 170 gross, which is not a small amount of money, but it is worth thinking about what we get for it. It is beautiful and within the category of quality speakers and subwoofers with a total power of 000 W. A bluray player, which is actually a home theater amplifier, with DTS-HD MA and Dolby True-HD support, two HDMI inputs, built-in N wireless network, LAN. If we add everything up one by one, we punch out somewhere where the LG HB1100TZ actually costs. We recommend it to anyone who has a framework to purchase such a system, we guess you won’t be disappointed with it.
The LG HB45E is another story. A 2.1 bluray home theater that offers almost the same knowledge as the HB965TZ, but does so with just three sound sources. Its special features are the rotatable front speakers, so you can increase the surround effect and the feeling of space during playback. While the overall effect is actually better than a traditional 2.1 system, I wouldn’t recommend anyone to choose the HB45E over a real 5.1 set if they want real, off-the-shelf sounds. The gross price of around HUF 85 seems a bit exaggerated, despite the fact that his knowledge is huge and we are still talking about bluray. We could recommend it a little cheaper, so I just liked it.
