QWERTY SLIM - the versatile little machine

With the help of our "star-shaped" screwdriver, we removed the cover of the SLIM, and we had the following view:

What we can tell right away: the inner world can be said to be orderly, which is important for the overall picture. Most striking is the gleaming orange-wrapped (oranje) PATA cable, which is militarily folded - hopefully there will be no problems with data transfer in the long run.

We have already mentioned that the machine has a Zotac miniITX motherboard, which of course means an nForce 610i. There are only two memory slots in total (single-channel control), of which the upper one is "filled" with a 2 GB 800 MHz Kingmax module. There are only two SATA connectors on the board, but half of them could be considered useless. The E5200 has its own factory cooler - literally, because the Modecom cover can hardly be pushed back into place because of it.

Let's look in order at what lies inside:

  • Processor: Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 (with factory cooler)
  • RAM: Kingmax 800 MHz 2 GB
  • Optical drive: TSST (Samsung) SN-S082H
  • Hard disk: Samsung F1 500 GB (HD502IJ)
  • Power supply: Modecom 96 W (external, passive)

Don't forget that the "package" also includes a PS/2 mouse and keyboard, but the operating system must be purchased separately.

After that, let's look at what our protagonist knows in the light of the numbers!
