QWERTY SLIM - the versatile little machine

Our mini PC consumes 40 watts at idle and 100 watts when loaded (75% CPU). We have no complaints about the former value, and not really about the latter, although the 96 W passive power supply does not have too much reserve left in this case (be careful with overdrive in this respect too!).

Of course, we also observed the temperature values, which are published in the form of a graph (the load was 15 minutes in each case):

In fact, we can’t complain much here either, the hard drive still rests below 40 degrees, and a 45nm Penryn shouldn’t have a problem tolerating 68 ° C even in the long run. Be careful not to place the SLIM indoors or leave the vents open. At idle, our processor cooler is around 2000 rpm, so it operates in relative silence. With a longer load, the speed of the agitator increases by approximately 20%, which clearly makes more noise - but fortunately it is not really loud.

How would we sum up the performance of our protagonist? We returned our test subject to QWERTY with mixed impressions. Basically, we consider SLIM to be a good idea, but there are one or two things here that decisively affect the applicability factor. What can we use his word for? For running small office programs, downloading, sharing data, listening to music, sometimes watching movies, running old games - we can imagine it mostly in an office environment. This is very good described like this, but we only get a little bit of everything for our money; our device cannot provide permanent results in any area. The other is the price tag: HUF 99 for an "all-in-one" machine is not that much, however, if we consider that there are already cheaper solutions for the perfect performance of some partial tasks — nettops, netbooks, mini PCs, simpler desktop PCs, network devices etc. -, then it is certainly very thought-provoking whether SLIM is really worth that much. However, the QWERTY configuration can be confidently recommended for purchase by anyone who can use the versatility of our main character.

What I liked:

+ design
+ size
+ Perfect for office tasks

What I didn't like:

- poor video capabilities
- single channel memory controller
- lack of digital audio output

Our protagonist is QWERTY Computer Ltd.We got it from, thank you.
