QWERTY SLIM - the versatile little machine
We've done a couple of tests that can be easily reproduced at home - most of which can be viewed in bulk in a table:
PCMark05 Windows XP startup | 9,857 MB / s |
PCMark05 CPU | 6381 |
Everest CPU Queen | 10582 |
Everest CPU PhotoWorxx | 5023 |
Everest FPU Julia | 4625 |
WinRAR 3.71 | 914 kB / s |
CineBench R10 CPU | 2676/5103 |
CineBench R10 GPU | 1246 |
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars 1.5 - high, 800 × 600 | 11 fps |
FEAR - medium, 800 × 600 | 11 fps |
FEAR - low, 800 × 600 | 37 fps |
Thanks to the Core 2-based CPU, "computational" tasks go quite well for the SLIM, but as soon as the VGA enters the fray, everything falls apart. A word like a hundred: with the integrated GeForce 7050, even a couple of years old games seem unattainable.
Of course, we could not miss the examination of the memory subsystem:
The write/read/copy operations did not bring the expected result, as the nForce 610i is "blessed" with a single-channel controller. We can rightly assume that this will noticeably reduce the performance of our central computing unit.
We also routinely dropped a read test on the built-in HD502IJ HDD:
Of course, we also looked at USB throughput:
Interestingly, the write speed has gotten a bit higher (we re-measured and these values came out again), but we can’t complain about USB throughput.
