Kojak mouse is not just for bald people

A common feature of the two mice is that no desktop is required for use. This is not accurate! No surface is needed on which we can drag them! The basic concept with these controllers was that we could comfortably control our machine either lying in bed or leaning back on the couch.

Both goods follow the trackball principle, which is now disappearing. These were called anno trackball because the ball was not on their bottom but on their top and we were able to spin with our finger, thus controlling the mouse pointer on the screen. After a little practice, much more precise movement could be achieved with the traditional mice of the time, which is why they were mostly used for graphic and design work.

Those trackballs were still on the table, but the Kojak mice no longer need a table. They are quite small pieces, they have almost no weight, and both can be used hand in hand. With this, we have also come to eliminate the disadvantage of traditional mice, since if we do not need a table, we do not have to sit crouched, and we do not have to play with our arms bent and our arms folded for many hours. Instead, we can take a comfortable chair, sit back, or if we use a notebook, take it to the couch and even watch the match with one eye.

The name of the simpler mouse Kojak Poker Mouse. From a paper box, a very small structure emerges in a puffy bag at first. As it turns out later, this is not a problem either, as we have to drag this mouse over our finger. There are a total of three buttons on it. One is on our index finger as if it were a sly one, the other two are on top of the mouse, these are the traditional right and left buttons we could get used to. The mouse pointer is controlled by a tiny green ball that you can wrap around with your thumb.

The function of the trigger button is essentially the same as that of the left button, so using this and scrolling the ball, we can move the scroll bar, for example, during normal web browsing. Only essentially because after pressing the top left button, we can also use the ball to scroll the pages up and down, right and left.

You do not need to install a driver to use the controller, the machine recognizes it and the game can go.

Of course, I also tried his fabric while playing poker. I soon got used to using it during the short test. It is best when using one table, but it can be used up to four tables without any problems. I don’t dare recommend it for multi-table play because the mouse pointer moves slower than a normal mouse, and if you miss the action because of that, you certainly won’t praise the mouse.

The shape is different, maybe a little worse than in the case of the little brother, but the structure is already more professional in feel. The quality of the plastics is quite different, and it’s as if the movement of the mouse pointer is also finer. We followed this quickly, so it turned out that while the small one has a roller mechanism similar to the old ball mice, the larger one has an optical sensor. Because of this change, the ball has also changed, as it is not possible to apply a completely solid surface here, because it would be difficult for the electronics to calculate the magnitude of the rotation.

This Kojak has only two buttons, however, these are located in front of the pointer and can be pressed with the index finger. Behind the ball, at the top, we also find a wheel that works in the same way as a regular mouse wheel.

I dare to recommend this mouse for normal daily use. It's fast, accurate, and it has two buttons on the caster. Of course, by use I mean more of the net. Interestingly, we also find an output for the optical sensor on the side of the mouse, so it even functions as a normal mouse when placed on the table. To be precise, the table is not enough, you need a mouse pad, because the sensor is not laser.

Of course, the point was still how much it could be used while playing poker. I have to say it is almost perfect. Fast and accurate, I dare to risk that it is no longer possible to manage 6+ tables with this. In addition, the roller can be used to raise or lower the bet, so there is no need to click.
