We tried: Archos tablet L to XXL

The Archos tablets are Android powered, each with version 2.2. This has a rather positive effect on speed.

In addition to the basic Android, we also get some pre-installed software. These are solutions for reading books, watching movies, and the like, so they are easy to use.

A serious negative, though, is that the Android Market cannot be reached. Specifically, it cannot be officially accessed or even installed, or if we do install it, we cannot use it. This is because, for example, you can't use a Google account. Needless to say, the limitless nature of human ingenuity still prevails, so there is not much to look for to come up with a solution. Since this is not an official solution we cannot provide a link, but all we have to say is that the word Arctools must be entered into the search engine.

Before we move on, check out the short video below, which can also be found on the Archos boards.

If someone decides that they don’t want to use this unofficial solution then they don’t have to feel completely lost either. The manufacturer also operates its own market called AppsLib, though slightly fewer programs are available through it. According to the news, this means roughly 16 thousand applications. it is gratifying that they are trying to stay up to date on the more popular programs, so we can play with angry birds, for example.

There is therefore no barrier to usability on a software basis. I didn’t look to see if the boards could be rooted, but I would be surprised if that wasn’t resolved. Of course, this question will not really appreciate ordinary users, for them the manufacturer's application store will provide just enough programs. The others solve everything they feel they need.

Let's quickly see the list of abilities!

First of all, it is important to know that the central unit is the same in all tables. The processor is an ARM Cortex A8 unit with a maximum clock speed of 1 GHz. There is also 3D acceleration, which means OpenGL ES 2.0 support. There is no difference between supported, playable files. There are two important points where we can see a difference. More important is the display, which is already due to the size of the tablet, and the other is the size of the mass storage.
