Introducing: Tenda - Everything for a better network
Since we’re talking about network devices, no one will be surprised to learn that there will be no illuminated keychain or eight-music scratch in the article. However, there will be almost every product with which we can build a small office network at home.
Tenda has divided its products into five groups, we have three rounds on this page, the next two are left. So let's see the antennas first!
An antenna is sold by any network product manufacturer that provides something for itself. By default, and most often 3-5 dBi omnidirectional antenna is placed on the devices, but this is not always enough, so we can take a stronger one as an option. Tenda produces two types. Both are 7 dBi, one can be screwed directly to the device (router, network card) and the other is also given a XNUMX meter cable to find a good position for it.
The supply of network cards is already more abundant, if only because the manufacturer correctly lists USB devices (stick) here as well.
The rise of wireless networks is shown by the fact that two types of wired cards and nine types of wireless interfaces are available. More interestingly, we now only find one solution that is not N standard, i.e. has a transmission speed of 54 Mbps. All others communicate at 150 and 300 Mbps, respectively. This development is welcome. True, the N-devices are not chickens anymore, but as you can see, they are slowly replacing the Gs devices with the cheaper manufacturers, so we won't be able to buy the Gs device slowly even if we feel like it due to some perversion.
The next product group again came to the article with few participants. An access point, which is a device that serves as a wireless extension of a wired network, or better yet, a wireless one if bridge or repeater functions are also packed into the device. Whether Tenda’s stuff knows this couldn’t be found out - the manufacturer didn’t answer the question, but we promise we’ll go after it.
The manufacturer offers two products. One is the traditional “desktop” structure and the other is an object that looks like a UFO. There is no difference in terms of abilities, so the point in choosing is not only to be good, but to enjoy it too!
