ASUS 'new combo driver has got a sleek housing
The optical unit, designated SBC-04D1S-U, can only read Blu-ray discs.
The 157 mm × 142 mm × 21 mm 412 gram optical drive has a USB 2.0 connection, 2 MB of temporary storage, and the software garnish is complete with CyberLink applications.
The € 162 device can read Blu-ray Discs (BD-ROM / R / RE) at up to 4,8 × speed, at least for a German online store, but for a variety of DVDs and CDs of course it also has roasting properties:
