New dual-layer, quad-roastable Blu-ray discs from Panasonic

Now the pace of writing is essential.

Panasonic has announced new BR discs under the "pseudonym" LM-BR50LDW, whose writable layer consists of inorganic materials (like 99% of discs). The distinguishing feature of the newcomers: we can store our data on two layers, we can roast them a maximum of 4 times — that is, approx. we can load 50 GB onto the disks in three quarters of an hour — and they are equipped with the usual "hard coating" surface protection.
