890FXA-UD7 vs. CrossHair IV Formula with X6 1090T - AMD Strikes Back?

As I write these lines (this isn’t necessarily the day the article is bypassed) it’s Tuesday afternoon, scorching with heat, depressed air, s3nki says it’s a sign of the approaching cold front that was promised for the afternoon. You’re probably right, but I’m still leaning forward in my chair from this, 4 hours of sleep and 28 degrees inside wasn’t good for work ethic. There is no loophole, however, a summary should be written, as this is the last page of the article. Since our work on the tops of Inteles X58 has been on our site not so long ago, the following lines may seem familiar to some of our readers. Why? Because the situation is the same.

Given the top two models from the current two largest motherboard manufacturers, which are not only technology flagships but also prestigious products, both ASUS and GIGABYTE have strived to create a work of art close to perfect. Since both companies have a very high routine in this area and have the resources, they have really managed to put together real, top quality charts, even on the AMD front. The 890FXA-UD7 has 6 full-length PCI-Express rails, while the CrossHair IV Formula has 4 full-width PCI-Express rails, so a brutal multi-card Radeon graphics powerhouse can be built on both boards. We were able to plant the most powerful processor in them, which was a completely new guest in the AMD Phenom II X6 1090T, because if we look back on the last couple of years, unfortunately we could not only meet a newer but older AMD CPU, we hope that something has started now, and in the future, AMD systems will gain more space on our test benches and in the columns of our site.

I’m a little thirsty for the word, though the motherboards should be evaluated as well, but how can two top boards be realistically evaluated? They're pretty fast, they have everything they need, they're built for tuning, and they're pretty * expensive. The difference in performance between them is practically negligible in order to find out which is better in tuning, not such conditions would be needed. It is completely unnecessary to look at a price / performance indicator in such a segment, as this is not the story at all, but about the fact that I have a BMW, you have an Audid, with the same cubic centimeters and equipment, and then let’s decide which one is better! The key to the decision is again one word: sympathy. If only because both sheets can be taken between approximately 55 and 60 thousand forints, so if the price were to matter, this could not be an influencing factor in this case either. * Let's say it is definitely thought-provoking that in the previous article we talked about items of 120-150 thousand forints, now we are talking about half of this, almost a third, of course this is a very different story.

We think the ASUS CrossHair IV Formula and the GIGABYTE GA-890FXA-UD7 brought the level and quality expected of it, we couldn’t put either clearly ahead of the other, so we leave the decision to the customer. As with the X58 motherboard, we won't be handing out this time around, as the category and price (although this AMD price range is much friendlier than Intel's) wouldn't really make sense, although for connoisseurs and AMD tuners we definitely recommend them. On the other hand, it’s clear that I liked both, so two badges are already forging for both delinquents.
