890FXA-UD7 vs. CrossHair IV Formula with X6 1090T - AMD Strikes Back?

Unfortunately, we haven't been able to meet the AMD configuration in our editorial office for a long time, now we have received the manufacturer's most powerful processor, ready to try it out with the best motherboards.  

It’s been just a few weeks since we’ve been able to try out each of ASUS’s and Gigabyte’s top-of-the-line motherboards with Intel’s six-core processor. The article did not yield too many surprising results. Not only the performance of the processor, but also the abundance of features on the motherboards surprised us. Of course, not because there were so few of them, but because we found exactly the huge amount of settings in the BIOS that can be expected for this category, and just as many widgets on the PCB as we had hoped for.

It’s about the solutions from leading manufacturers, so it’s no wonder the quality we get for our - no little - money.

However, life isn’t just about Intel, it also has its big competitor, AMD. The greens are already on the six-core processors, so the task was given, after the Intel-based boards we will try the solutions based on the AMD chipset, and we will even compare the results in a later article.

So this article will once again be a clash between the two big manufacturers, and not surprisingly, we’re going to be dealing with the tops again. This is sure to bring some novelty, as we will come across other chipsets, but on the other hand, there will be plenty of identities with the Intel platform, as some of the tuning solutions we learned there will be back on these boards as well. Thus, since the Intel boards were first used to describe the hardware, we will refer back to the previous motherboard article as well.

So in this writing we could get acquainted with two more motherboards, but the picture would not be complete if we did not go to the processor for a page. In this spirit, then, the next two pages will be about the pages, while the fourth will be about the central unit. This can be followed by tests, the results of which are usually graphed. The last page will be the summary again.
