Design the ION of your dreams!

NVIDIA invites you to a competition to promote ION and showcase its capabilities! The most creative and skillful entrants will, of course, receive prizes in addition to the glory…

The essence of the competition is to create a precisely designed and well-thought-out perimeter around the Zotac ION ITX 330 motherboard, which must take on a character that fits the spirit of the ION line. Examples are low consumption and heat production, small size and favorable purchase price. According to this, the purchase price of a fictional complete machine should not exceed the psychological limit of $ 500.

The competition will feature names such as Dennis “Deadguy” Leach, Brian “Boddaker” Carter, Bill “Overkill Bill” Owen, Geno “BoxGods” Phipps and Ton”TiTON” Khowdee — strictly as judges this time, of course. The scoring will be done on a scale of 10 according to three aspects, these are creativity, the appearance of ION's advantages and capabilities, and the appearance of the machine. Because of the latter criterion, you can freely let your imagination run free when choosing the exterior.

Do you think it contains ION instead of water? 

There are 60 days to submit applications, from which the said jury members will select one of the top 30 drafts per member, which will be forwarded to the CPU Magazine competition. The parent of the winning design can take possession of his work of art forever, and the other 4 masters can take home one Zotac ION ITX 230 motherboard and two PC games (Sims 3, 1400 Battle Funds for Battlefield Heroes). Each of the top 30 entry owners will be richer with a 1-year CPU Magazine subscription.
