VIA Eden processor in Fujitsu's thin client

Fujitsu has teamed up with VIA to build its low-power, low-space client.

Fujitsu has equipped its thin client, the FUTRO S100, with a width of 42 mm × 182 mm × 185 mm and a total weight of only 1 kg, with VIA solutions. He chose a 500 MHz Eden ULV as the central unit, which does not consume more than 1 W when loaded; this is served by the VX800 chipset, which comes with features such as the VT1708S audio codec, 10/100 Mbit / s LAN and DirectX 9 compatible Chrome9 HC3 IGP.

In addition, 1 GB of DDR2 memory and a 512 MB CF storage device form the basis of the embedded Linuxt system.

Equipped with a 2 + 2 USB 2.0 port and a D-Sub output, the FUTRO S100 consumes a total of a minimum of 0,96 and a maximum of 11 watts of power, and its purchase price is unknown.
