Zotac and VIA gave birth to the latest ZBox

Zotac is one of the largest manufacturers of mini-ITX-based HTPCs, which is why they already offer some kind of ZBox mini PC with almost all existing low-power processors.

Now the already modest repertoire is expanded with a slightly more special copy. At the time of Computex, the mini PC had already appeared at the Zotac booth, but so far it hasn’t heard of itself. Now, on the other hand, we can be sure that the little one will be on the market, he will be the first to see the light of day in Japan, but we hope that the configuration that can be said to reach us will reach us as well.

Zotac is incorporating VIA's latest chip into its latest mini machine, and not all of the latest is available in the larger four-core version, but the Nano X2 U4025 with two cores up to 1,2 GHz was chosen. works on clockwork, probably the best power-to-power ratio here, so it makes sense for Zotac to decide. The motherboard builds on the VX900H chipset, and the display is provided by the S3 graphics processor. The system can be equipped with a maximum of 4 GB of DDR3 memory and can accommodate a 2,5 ″ hard drive in the housing, which can be conventional or SSD, in the case of the latter the noise level can be significantly reduced. We also get a 6-function memory card reader, Gigabit Ethernet port, 802.11 b / g / n WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 3.0 port, DisplayPort interface and of course HDMI.

The VIA-based ZBox will also be available in barbone form, where we will select the amount of memory required and the size of the data storage, this design will be available for $ 130 and will be marketed as the ZBox Nano-VD01. The other version, which has 2GB of memory and a 320GB hard drive, costs twice as much, for $ 260, a ready-to-install mini PC called the ZBox Nano-VD01 Plus.
