Zotac MAG: anywhere, anytime, anything!

Zotac's really attractive ION nettop has the name "PC anywhere".

Yesterday, Zotac made a historic announcement with the "everywhere PC" presented as the first member of the MAG series, because with this step it officially entered the market of nettops, i.e. joined the war. It doesn't start the attack badly, because the MAG is an ION-based mini PC, its dimensions of 186 (H.) × 189 (W.) × 38 (H.) mm make it quite small, and with its shiny black surfaces, it's not looks bad. The pocket machine can include a 1,6GHz Atom 230 (single-core) or 330 (dual-core) processor paired with 2GB of RAM and 160GB of storage. A dual-core Atom and 2GB of memory don't sound bad by default, but the key feature is the VGA, which according to ION is a GeForce 9400M integrated controller.

In addition to the 4-in-1 card reader, the new nettop includes gigabit Ethernet, WiFi and 7.1-channel audio, as well as eSATA, USB and D-Sub, but HDMI output is of paramount importance, as with this interface you can become a perfect HTPC from the MAG (ODD is not included in the machine, this can be remedied with a USB drive if required). Zotac has not yet published the official recommended purchase price and release date of MAG systems, but we hope to put it on store shelves as soon as possible, including Hungarian shelves, preferably with a lovable price tag.
