Price list includes AMD 12-core Opterons
On the table is the Magny-Cours Opteron X12 6100 range.
An online reseller is already pre-ordering AMD’s 12-core Opterons, so anyone who doesn’t even have enough 6 cores will soon be able to get double that in a single CPU.
The Opteron X12 6164 runs at 1,7 GHz and has 16 MB of cache, priced at $ 797; the 6136 is clocked at 2,4 GHz, the cache size is 18 MB, so you have to pay $ 808. The slower version, according to AMD, consumes just 65 watts, while the faster 105 watts, if that's the case, is an overwhelmingly nice job on the part of the manufacturer.
The X12 6176 has an operating frequency of 2,3 GHz, a cache of 18 MB, and is priced higher: $ 1491. The 2,2GHz 6174 costs $ 1250, while the 2,1GHz 6172 model is shot on 1060 paper.
