Four new processors from Intel

The world's largest semiconductor manufacturer has added four new central units, four of which belong to the Pentium D family and one to the Pentium 4 family.

The dual-core Pentium D 840, 830 and 820 operate at 3,20, 3,00 and 2,80 GHz, respectively, of course only in the LGA775 enclosure, and have 1 MB of second-level cache per core, like all Smithfields.

In addition, the Pentium 4 series has been expanded: the new 600 operates at 670 GHz, which is still available, but in addition to the 3,80 MB of second-level cache, it is also equipped with virtualization capabilities. Of course, all four processors just mentioned support EM2T, Enhanced Intel SpeedStep, and Execute Disable Bit technologies.

Finally, perhaps the most important information about them is the prices: for the Pentium 4 they charge no less than 670 US dollars, however, the Pentium D 851, 840 and 830 "only" cost 820, 530 and 316 dollars, respectively, so they are starting to become affordable dual-core technology as well.
