Another summer with Scythe
We found three fresh air stirrers in the "all-in-one bag", which do not create a new category - in fact, they only complement the already existing, very popular fan families. There is one thing in common with the small air blowers: it is none other than the fluid bearing developed by Sony (S-FDB: Sony Fluid Dynamic Bearing), which is quiet (minimum friction) and has a very long service life (minimum 120 hours). Scythe S-FLEX
The S-FLEX series no longer needs to be introduced to our readers familiar with the subject. In addition to its many advantages (quietness, reliability), perhaps the biggest disadvantage (was) that only models in this series were available in the 120 mm version. However, all this is a thing of the past, as the 8 and 9,2 centimeter S-FLEXs have been introduced, meaning that this quality fan series has become available to a wider audience.
We received the SFF92A and SFF80A quite precisely, which means that the quietest (A) version of both the smallest and the medium-sized series paid our respects. The new models are available in four speeds - as well as the 120 mm units - which vary from family to family. Rotational speed also affects noise emissions and air transmission - for easier transparency, let’s look at our two tables:

The "A" pieces we have are completely silent, and we have a tip that the "B" pieces can behave similarly. Based on the data, we would choose between the "B" and "C" variants. Of course, the new products also have a lifespan of 150 hours from one to the other, complaints from this point of view cannot (or) be received because of them. In addition, each S-FLEX has a three-to-four-pin converter, so one more problem is off our shoulders.
Scythe Kama FLEX
The model, blessed with the name SA0925FDB12L, which is extremely easy to remember, is not really new, as the air blowers in the Kama FLEX family we have already written on our pages. The distributor put it in the magic bag just as a basis for comparison, as the Kama FLEX is located directly below the S-FLEX (same bearing, with only slightly less marked service life - and of course at different speeds) - so we could say: who regrets the not so little money for the otherwise excellent S-FLEXs, the Kama FLEX can be an excellent alternative to this, as our tests show that the members of the two families offer almost the same in terms of noise emissions.
