Processor cooler test - Noctua against Intel Core i5

No one knew the name Noctua for a few years. Out of obscurity, the Austrian company exploded into the refrigeration market, and perhaps it is not modest to say that this is largely due to us. The HOC Hardware Store, while still operating, sold most Noctua fans for a long time.

The success was not surprising anyway. At the time, only the Japanese mowing company on the market had a really quiet fan, but we had to reach deep into our pockets for quality. At the same time, the price of Noctua fans was more close to the commercial category, despite the fact that in terms of quality it was more of a competitor to the mowers.

It didn’t take long for ugly but delicate brown fans to be followed by nice and delicate processor coolers. Although the design of the ribs was very reminiscent of the products of another competing manufacturer, we didn’t have time to think about it, and we haven’t had one since. It wasn’t then because the performance of the coolers was surprisingly good - in many cases even better than the aforementioned competitor - and now it’s not because lately more and more companies are setting aside their shyness and building a rib on this design.

So Noctua has exploded into the market and hasn’t been able to explode since. They’ve had a good time, and while they haven’t made too many improvements in recent months, they always stay up to date, and the performance of the ribs is still amply at the forefront despite the lack of improvements.

When it comes to CPU coolers, we ourselves were eagerly awaiting the introduction of the new Intel processors. In the last 1-2 years, it has become common for the processor to be here, but it does not have adequate cooling. It seems the manufacturers, including the brothers-in-law, have learned from the mistakes, so we could have already chosen several cooling solutions for the current premiere. The simple reason why Noctua did not cool the test machine was two days behind. Two days is not the world, plus the new clamp for Noctua processors has already arrived for its debut. Taking advantage of this fact, we decided to demonstrate some CPU cooling in a lightning test and how they will do with the Core i5, because there is no doubt that they will do. Let's see what we tested!
