From today, we can mobilize in HD quality at Telekom

Following successful tests in Budapest, Magyar Telekom is the first in Hungary to make HD Hang technology available. The purity of the HD service available nationwide can be aged free of charge and automatically by customers using Telekom's mobile broadband network (3G and 4G / LTE coverage) who have a suitable smartphone.

Attila Keszég, Deputy CEO of Telekom Retail Services, emphasized in connection with the announcement: “Thanks to the new HD sound, the quality of telephone conversations will continue to improve. The result is a fuller, clearer and sharper sound, and these benefits can be enjoyed free of charge by Telekom customers now and in the future. Our innovative HD Sound service is another step in our lineup of real and tangible customer experience. ”

HD Audio offers excellent sound quality, with the new audio transmission standard capable of transmitting even more speech signals over a wider acoustic frequency range: the speech encoders extend the frequency transmission range from 300-3400 Hz to 50-7000 Hz. Customers have no further action, the crystal clear and innovative sound can be clearly and immediately felt if both parties have an HD Voice-capable smartphone and use Telekom's mobile broadband network. After several months of testing in the southern part of Budapest, Telekom made the HD sound available to its customers. The technical background for the introduction of HD audio was provided by Ericsson.

Currently, a significant part of the smartphones offered by Telekom offer HD quality voice service: such devices include the iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy S4, S3, Nokia Lumia 820 and 920.
