LC-POWER nutritional and married novelties
In our new LC-POWER demonstration, not only power supplies but also a house were included. Plus, a nook that filled us with strong anticipation even without unpacking.
The manufacturer did not give the cottage a fancy name. 3049S is the name of the family and BS stands for color, i.e. black-silver. The box was marked BR, I would have liked it better, the black-red combination can be really showy live, at least it looks very good in the picture. There is also a third variant, this is the B, i.e. black edition, which is understandably simple black even with a little knowledge of English.
Let's move on to the colors, let's see the house and the packaging!
The box lacks the Far Eastern chick as usual from LC-POWER. On the white cardboard only the BR housing and some data is visible. First, we learn that the computer case can be classified as a subtype of the Slim ATX Midi Tower, which does pretty much accept a full-size ATX card, but its height (in our case, its thickness) is only roughly half the normal size. These are the houses where you have to pay attention to what kind of expansion card you buy for them, because the minimum requirement is that the card is not high and has a half back cover.
Here and now, it is important to mention that we have to face the difficulty of the half-size described above for LC-POWER, as the 3049S is a real, bloody and unadulterated multimedia PC booth. Not one of these varieties could be encountered by our gentle readers on our pages, so both we and our readers can make some comparisons.
This comparison would also make sense, because the house in the present test is certainly among the best, which is a surprise from LC-POWER. Well, we’re not saying the manufacturer’s houses are bad, they’re just competing in a different category. Most of the manufacturer's products have to stand their ground in the middle or lower category, and they are certainly embossed there. The 3049S, on the other hand, is something completely different. Another world, another quality. We can understand this both internally and externally, because although we are rather finicky peoples, we are an undivided success of this cottage. We will immediately describe why.
Let's start with the outside!
The front is harmonious, not very painted. Neither glossy nor matte surfaces look crappy, everything reflects quality. We didn’t do a scratch test, we didn’t dare do it because we didn’t want our heads to be rolled off our necks.
The power button, which got a nice red glowing frame during operation, is unfortunately located at the bottom, so when we put the machine on the ground we have to bend big. In return, however, the connectors are placed on top of a door, so they are easily accessible. When you open the door, you will find a reset button, two USB ports, a microphone input and a headphone output, and an eSATA connector. Sure, it is, and how good it is, because it allows us to transfer data from our portable devices to the machine with lightning speed without having to look at the back. Big red dot for the manufacturer for that.
Next to the connector door is the space for the optical drive tray. The disk also emerges from behind the door, which is again just a nice solution, we don't like it when the front of the drive is visible on a machine standing in the living room.
The real delicacy of the exterior is the display, which is located next to the power button. Perhaps this will be the point where opinions will show a significant difference in terms of usefulness. Whether it looks good is not worth debating, everyone can decide the question according to their own taste. Utility, on the other hand, is less subjective. The display is large but contains very little useful data. At the top is a field called Colorsound where you can observe the change in the dynamics of the sounds in four bars. The bars show the volume of the range between the deep, high, and two middle columns separately.
You can find useful information at the bottom of the screen, though only two. One of the two circular signals indicates that the observed fan is rotating and the other is that the machine is running, that is, that it is hot. During these circuits, we can finally see the observed fan speed in numerical form, and below it the internal temperature of the machine.
There is one more important thing about the exterior, and that is painting. The painting is thick, even - and bright. The orangeing resulting from the blowing is only very slightly noticeable on it, which pretty much means that we can only see a glossy black surface from 20 inches. It’s sensitive to fingerprints - like any similar varnish - but what good is a good cloth if you don’t want to polish our pretty little cottage with it?
