LC6550 V2.2 - 550 W

The LC6550 V2.2 is a member of the Super Silent family. We didn't come as a surprise when it came to packaging and the box, the usual LC-POWER style greeted us. Simple exterior, enough information, easy-to-carry strap - these are the passwords. We can think similarly about the content, we find only the most necessary in the pack, ie the power supply itself, a power cable, which is also essential for operation, and a short user guide.

The power supply itself makes a very pleasant impression on the outside, the box, dressed completely in (matte) black, with a black 12 cm fan, vent and stickers radiates a kind of elegance. The back cover deserves further positive assessment, where the manufacturer has chosen the beehive-shaped ventilation grille design, and the eyes are larger than average, so that the heated air can easily leave the house with optimal flow.

We also have good news regarding cabling. The bundle of the main power supply is stockinged, and the black connectors - in addition to fitting well into the overall picture - are of the "best kind", for example, they did not use the cheapest, inflexible and non-exploding molex connectors, but the much friendlier version with tabs that help removal.

The total power of the power supply is 550 W, which is more than enough for most users. The sticker on the side of the power supply provides all the essential information about the load capacity and other characteristics of the different branches:

Among the technical parameters, the manufacturer has highlighted the power idle consumption, which is only 1 W. The product, of course, also has PFC and complies with ROHS environmental, CE and TÜV regulations.

LC8400P V2.3 - 400 W

This model strengthens the Metatron series, its total power of 400 W is still the category that can satisfy the majority of needs. In terms of appearance, we could practically copy what was described for the above type, because the two units are as similar as two eggs. The box tries to remind us of the "green concept", and the internal contents are the usual, i.e. the power supply itself is packed in a bag with an explosive pillow, the 230 V power cable and the user manual.

In terms of appearance, therefore, the elegant black housing, the 12 cm black air blower with the same-colored vent and the beehive side ventilation grille, remained.

The features of the cables also fit, so the main power bundle is stocked, the rest are free, the connectors are black, and have retained pleasant properties such as easily removable molexes.

The sticker on the side of the power supply is still a partner in collecting information on technical parameters. The two 12 V branches can each be loaded with 12 A and their total power is 288 W. The manufacturer also highlights the low standby power consumption of 0,9 W, but even more gratifying is the news that the product supports 80 Plus certificate. According to the manufacturer's specifications, the LC8400P is capable of achieving 84% efficiency.

In addition to such properties, the presence of active PFC and the requirements of CE, TÜV and ROHS standards are not lacking.
