ASUS G74SX 3D

The ASUS N73SV we had carried the 5200 mAh battery in our stomach, which we tested in two ways. In the first measurement, we immersed the battery in an AIDA64 stress test, while in the second, we set the playback of a Blu-ray movie to infinity at 25% volume. AIDA64 stress test during 1 hour 3 minutes lasted the machine while the Blu-ray movie for 1 hour 36 minutes shone on the display. Well, these don’t seem like world-saving values, but let’s face it, with such a large display and such serious hardware, you can hardly get more out of such a machine with today’s technology. The same is true for the ASUS G74SX 3D. The machine uses a 5200 mAh battery, which With AIDA64 for 1 hour 1 minute could work During Blu-ray playback for 1 hour 33 minutes the machine survived, the numbers are almost the same. We would add that the models we have are PR samples, in the case of in-store products a small improvement is conceivable.

Opinion

What can we say after the production of two such laptops. These products have only one major flaw, namely that they can only reach a narrower layer through their purchases, at least in the Hungarian market. Of course, we can’t blame this as a real mistake, we encounter it in all areas of life: what’s new, strong, beautiful, big and fast, usually has to be paid for. The ASUS N73SV is a winning model from the 17 ″ category, and we can only praise it in terms of design, even if external judgment is a subjective thing. Its sleek shapes and metal surfaces make it elegant, easy to use with a full-fledged keyboard, and the multimedia keys beautify your entertainment. The 17,3 kijelző display quality is not surprising, but due to its size, filming is much more enjoyable than squatting in front of a netbook. THE

The strongest pace of the quad-core, Sandy Bridge with HT, gives the machine desktop performance, which can be used for more serious work, rendering, editing, Intel Quick Sync encodes the CPU. With IGP. Obviously, this edition is by no means cheap, but for our money we get a time-consuming, technically absolutely up-to-date notebook. It may also be worth looking at a more modest deployment, as if we don’t have that much demand for performance, we can catch significant amounts at the purchase price. In any case, the ASUS N73SV had the impression of a rugged, high-quality and stylish machine, with a calm heart in this category. recommended, will not go wrong with her master.

The ASUS ROG G74SX 3D is similar to the N73SV in many ways, yet completely different. It also has a 17,3" screen, but with FULL HD resolution and is also 3D-ready, in short, it represents a higher level of quality, and this was also reflected in the viewing angles. The Core i7-2630QM is also working in it, but it worked with 4 GB of memory instead of 16, which is an incredible number, especially in a notebook. It is no coincidence that the product box says "notebook PC", since with the GeForce GTX 3M with 560 GB of native RAM, the power of the desktop product has really been condensed into a portable machine. We know less about the needs of gamers in terms of appearance, but it is certain that with the G74SX 3D we will not blend in with the crowd, uniqueness is guaranteed. In our opinion, the machine's angular shapes, rubberized, matte surface, and the rear air vents not only look good, but are also effective. The same can be said about the keyboard lighting, which, in addition to looking good, can be a great help in the dark. The sound is above average for both notebooks. Of course, we do not claim that they bring the level of expensive home theater systems, as this is impossible in a notebook, but it is certain that neither the quality nor the volume will be a problem.

All parts of the G74SX are designed to meet the needs of gamers, both in terms of appearance, usability and performance. This machine is the raw force itself, for which one must sacrifice on the altar of the purchase price. Of course, keep in mind that the GTX 560M is a notebook graphics controller and so you have to drive a FULL HD display, so like nothing, it’s elusive, but it’s definitely suitable for running more serious games. Blu-ray, such as a writer or a reader, can no longer be missing from such a machine. The two hard drives allow you to use a huge amount of storage space, but we’re not sure we’d choose an SSD instead of one of the HDDs. True, an SSD is already lurking in the machine, as the interesting thing about the Seagete Momentus XT is that a 4 GB SSD has been implemented as a cache. For this reason, the manufacturer calls this solution a Hybrid Hard Drive. Nowadays, with the 3D craze taking over, NVIDIA is also offering its own system in the person of 3D Vision. We have talked about this many times, it is an active shutter solution, maybe for a notebook this is the better choice over the polarized one. In addition to the G74SX 3D, NVIDIA glasses are standard, so you can start playing in 3D right away! According to preliminary information, Seagete's fast hard drive will be available in three different configurations, and the top promise is clearly the version with our 3D display and fast hard drive.

ROG G74SX 3D is a product made for a special layer, with a purchase price of roughly HUF 500, so it would not make sense to offer it, but that it gets dirty I liked it, that is not an issue.
