The FIFA World Cup will also be broadcast in HDTV quality

After America, they will also start broadcasting important sporting events in HD quality in Europe.

According to Engadget’s news, it’s best to go to a local pub to watch a match, assuming, of course, that it has a device capable of receiving HDTV broadcasts. The author writes this because although these types of displays are available almost everywhere, very few HD decoder chips are still available, so if someone wants to get them at the last minute, they may have difficulty making a purchase.

Digital broadcasting has existed in Hungary since 1999, so far only in the testing phase: mtv, m2 and Duna TV are available in the vicinity of Budapest and Veszprém. The full switchover process will start in 2007 and will end by 2013 at the latest with the switch-off of analogue broadcasting.
