Test recommendation: Zalman CNPS 9500AT Socket 775

ProClockers tested Zalman's latest processor cooler for the LGA775 socket motherboards, the CNPS 9500 AT. The cooler is primarily recommended for 775-foot Intel processors that have a fairly high heat output.

Zalman is deservedly famous for its not-so-cheap, but undoubtedly powerful and quiet processor and video card coolers. In the name, the CNPS designation refers to the fact that it is made to cool processors. After the famous 7000 series, which is slowly starting to age, the 9000 series has arrived, which has already been crossed with heat pipes in line with the expectations of the age.

Depending on the temperature of the processor, the speed of the fan decreases or increases. The maximum rotation speed is 2650 revolutions per minute, while if the full cooling power is not needed, it only turns 1300 revolutions per minute. Excellently quiet, even at the highest speed "only" 28 dB generates noise. The package also includes a good quality small tube of Zalman coolant.
