HD DVD drive from Buffalo

The lesser-known Japanese Buffalo in Hungary introduced the first optical drive for reading and writing HD DVDs.

In addition to HD DVDs, the optical drive for desktops can handle traditional DVDs and CDs, whether double-layer or rewritable. Only the rival format, Blu-ray, is missing from the list of supported media. Unfortunately, we have no information on write and read speeds.

The drive, which will go to stores at the end of the month, will be available for $ 320, or about $ 60, along with the HD DVD release of the CyberLink PowerDVD player.
