Live Gamer Portable arrives

AVerMedia Technologies announced today that it will be present at Dreamhack 2012, where it will unveil a prototype of the “Live Gamer Portable,” a USB-connected recording device designed for gamers.

Visitors to Dreamhack Winter will be the first to try out AVerMedia’s game recorder. Live Gamer Portable works on a similar principle to Live Gamer HD, which is a 1080p HD recording card with a PCIe interface equipped with hardware compression. It is designed to meet the needs of “gamers” and “streamers,” with the ability to record and stream 1080p gameplay in real time. Aside from Live Gamer Portable, AVerMedia will present its full game capture portfolio. Visitors can also try other solutions for live game sharing.

AVerMedia will partner with the famous team Fanatic. In daily on-site tournaments, visitors have the opportunity to play with the biggest gamers at the world’s largest game festival. What’s more, Fnatic’s StarCraft II players are trying to qualify for the “Dreamhack Winter EIZO Open” from Avermedia’s booth.
