The WD TV-2 is coming soon

Western Digital's product, which is also popular in Hungary, may have a successor within a few months.

WD TV has been producing successful sales data despite falling short of expectations in some areas in terms of capabilities. To fix this, Western Digital has already begun developing an improved version, which is expected to go public as WD TV-2. The biggest novelty of the device is the built-in Ethernet socket, through which it is possible to play multimedia materials from a network source as well. The use of the DTS decoder corrects a much-mentioned shortcoming, as does the incorporation of the composite connector; the latter can be a relief for users with traditional television.

The device, which also handles Full HD (1080p) content, has been enhanced by WD engineers with enhanced format support and, among other things, DLNA and Bonjour compatibility. You can view the full specification of the device via the source link.
