The new OCZ Vertex 4 firmware is picking up the pace
Nearly two months after the 1.4 RC firmware, a new version has arrived that improves sequential write and read speeds.
The new 1.5 firmware is still in beta, so its application may cause unexpected surprises. After the upgrade, the 128, 256, and 512GB OCZ Vertex 4 SSDs can kick in at a maximum read speed of 560MB per second and increase the write speed by an average of 6,5 percent. The exact values are shown in the image below. Gigantic changes are not to be expected, but we will end up with this performance increase as a gift.
In installing this update, OCZ Toolbox can help us. We perform this operation at our own risk!
