An interesting innovation is the Huawei K3V3
The chip, made with 28-nanometer manufacturing technology, contains a total of 8 processor cores. The Huawei K3V3 contains ARM Cortex-A7 and Cortex-A15 cores in equal proportions - the latter can be paced at 1,80 GHz. SoC will deploy a Mali GPU for graphics tasks. This is not a big sensation so far, as the Samsung Exynos 5 Octa has similar performance.
Huawei may have felt that more would be needed. According to the news, engineers are trying to reduce consumption with an interesting system. When the chip is loaded, they are able to generate energy from the heat produced by the SoC, which can be increased by running it into the battery.
