Let's build a laptop according to our needs!
In the case of this small phenomenon, we can talk about a tablet machine, which is the first configurable machine of this type in the world, the birth of which is the merit of Clevo. Its display can be rotated 180 degrees and tilted 180 degrees. The predominant color of the house was white, with only the bottom of the panel and frame blown black. The former is glossy, the latter is more matte, and both surfaces respond favorably to fingerprints, meaning they are barely visible on them. The cover is simple, free of ticks, a stripe was formed in the lower right corner for the brand sticker, in our case it was still unused. There are also two small rubber discs in the lower half of the middle of the page, which prevent the two surfaces from being completely pressed against each other when the display is turned upside down and folded onto the keyboard.
Let's move on to the controls. There is not much interesting to say about the keyboard, it is adapted to the size, accordingly we should not even look for a numerical unit on it, but everything else is available. The sound of the types is not disturbing, a kind of "average notis", the language of the keyboard is English. The touchpad responds well to the movement of the finger, it does not get stuck, we also find a sliding bar on the edge that matches the scroll. The keys corresponding to the left and right mouse buttons have a chrome effect, their operation is also not subject to any special criticism, they may have a slightly clicking sound. Next to the right key, approx. one and a half centimeters in the person of the small hole we can honor the "sound inlet" of the microphone. There are also rubber mounts on this inner cover to protect the display. The LCD offers above-average what a Tablet PC doesn’t hurt to be good, and that’s the viewing angle. Whatever direction we look at, the colors hardly change, no sign of the often-seen negative transition. The machine is almost noiseless at low loads, and at full load the fan spins noticeably, but even that is not dangerous. However, the cooling capacity moves at the limit even at maximum speed, the temperature of the CPU has risen to 95-96 degrees, so during massive use, make sure to ensure free air flow.
Two of the three USBs, the ExpressCard slot and the charger power connector, were also placed on the back of the machine. When viewed from the front, the optical drive (Super Multi DVD Writer), the third USB port, and the ports for wired data communication, the 56k modem, and the Gigabit LAN port are installed on the right side of the machine. On the left we get an analog video output (D-Sub) and a mini IEEE 1394a connector, and in this space, warm air also escapes its captivity. We don't see anything surprising in front of us, going from left to right we first find the status LEDs (basic color is green), then the slider power button, S / PDIF and the headphone output, the microphone input, and finally the card reader. The machine is also prepared to receive a built-in 3G unit.
