Epic Gear Jellyfish and Hybrid Pad if you don't take care of it!

We ended the previous page by saying that Epic Gear Jellyfish changes everything, and why, I’ll tell you right away. The reason is in the form of two holes on the bottom of the mouse. One of these hides an optical sensor, the other a laser sensor, so from now on we can buy two in one, two mice for the price of one, true, these two mice are inside a housing. It is an individual with multiple consciousness, so to speak, there is some division of consciousness, which in this case is a serious positive without negatives. The solution has been named Epic Gear’s Hybrid Dual Sensor Technology, abbreviated as HDST, so from now on I will refer to it as well.

Epic Gear is a new brand, there is no other product in the box under their name than the mouse and pad featured in our article. The manufacturer is the Golden Emperor conglomerate, which is responsible for GeiL memories, among others. The manufacturer wants to break into the market of player input devices with this mouse, so they didn't accidentally fire the sparrow with a cannon to live with a good Hungarian analogy, and it's not a bad start.
The name choice went well, as did the box in which the mouse arrived. On the black background, the bright red tentacles wrapped in front of the snakeskin patterned background form a very impressive image, and in the middle of them, under the transparent plastic, we can see the mouse.

The bottom of the Jellyfish is orange. Two large soles have been placed on it, which are not expected to fall off or crease even under heavy use. At the height of the center of the base is the opening of the two sensors, and below them is the selector switch. It has three positions, we can use one of the two sensors, but we can even use the two together. The latter mode was given the name HDST by the manufacturer.

The top is black. The non-slip cover is divided by thin, glossy black stripes. Along with the clickable wheel, we get seven buttons, six of which are programmable. Traditional mouse buttons are large, with a concave center. The switches on the left side, at the thumb, are also comfortable to operate, right at my fingertips. Since these buttons are on the left, it is already clear that this mouse is made for right-handers. The roller can be rolled with gentle clicks, it does not require much force, but accidental spinning is almost completely ruled out.

The Medusa's cable was, of course, covered with fabric to prevent it from knotting together. The fabric is black, dotted with red inserts.
After turning it on, we get a real orgy of light, thankfully not too loud, but rather just what makes us feel cool and our mouse. The name Jellyfish on the back and the Epic Gear logo glow red on the top. At the front left, the four-position DPI selector indicator light is on, while the roller light is on in the color assigned to the current mode. The modes can be programmed from software, but this is not required for DPI adjustment.

The size of the Jellyfish is just right, neither too big nor too small. The arch of the back is quite high, but it is especially comfortable, so players with larger palms will not drag their wrists on the table either. A very good solution is that a ring trough has also been designed for the ring finger, which will not only be comfortable, but the grip will also be more stable.
