FragFX v.2 PS3 controller = Bang in the head!

Playstation 3. To whom this name says nothing, the surely is not a playful figure, or if he is, he prefers the physical or mental tests of real life. Sony’s console, or rather a multimedia entertainment hub, the big opponent of the XBox 360 dazzles us with amazing graphics and great sound. Because of this, many originally PC gamers have also tested their ability to replace the computer when it comes to games. The end result is ambiguous.

In my own experience - although I wouldn’t call myself a hardcore gamer anymore - I have to say that the PS3 was a disappointment at first. I never used a gamepad on a PC, a joystick for flying, a steering wheel for driving, a good mouse-keyboard combo for FPS games. Then came the PS3 a year and a half ago.

Since I was obsessed with FPS games I immediately followed by a little COD, then a little Half Life, then a few more games. The graphics were wonderful, the great plasma experience was watching the introductions. The sound impressed me, being the home theater amplifier, and the speakers did their thing. However, the management was lousy. It took many weeks for me to get used to the controller, but I haven’t been able to fall in love with it to this day.

This is pretty much the case with driving. There was no problem fitting the steering wheel on the desk, behind it was the display, you could drive. Okay, but where do I mount the steering wheel in the living room? Our coffee table is not suitable for this, not least because it is low. I had to push everything to the pedals, but somehow it wasn’t good either.

Forget the flight. This would be the only simulator that could somehow be handled in the living room if there were a normal simulator for PS3. No. What they are is more of an arcade level. The graphics are nice, some games are beautiful, but neither the physics nor the gameplay fall into the classifiable category.

Well, the subject of our article will not be a suitable replacement for a steering wheel, nor will it be a good flying simulator, but it promises to be an irreplaceable help for FPS games, thanks to To Bluechip, who is the domestic distributor of the product. Unfortunately, I can’t try it with my former favorite Quake 3 Arena, but there are some nice shooting games at home in the drawer that do. Maybe I’m not revealing a big secret by dropping the test, but about that a little later, let’s see the tool itself, the second release of FragFX!
