According to him, their interviewers will visit 1500 households in Sopron and about twice as many in poor social conditions in Sopron and its surroundings from next week. Under the state program, the staff appointed by the authority agrees with the persons concerned on the conditions for participation in the test program. They inquire whether the respondents only use television with analogue terrestrial technology and, if so, provide information on the possibility and conditions of state aid.
As a result of the program, those in need will have access to better quality digital television. He added that after the needs assessment phase, the installation of supported receivers (set-top boxes) and, if necessary, antennas can start in September.

Janka Aranyosné Börcs told MTI's question: the choice was made for these two areas because of their differences: Sopron is a developed big city, while the small region of Barcs is characterized by the structure of scattered settlements and small villages. "We will continuously incorporate the results of the test program into the national digital transition project," declared the director general. In response to a question, he said: based on the evaluation of the test program, a decision will soon be made on the exact course of the national support program. He indicated: they intend to use card-independent set-top boxes for digital terrestrial reception in the support system. The purchase price of these on the market is around 8-10 forints for larger items, and is constantly decreasing.
