The new Toshiba TVs are working from the cloud
Toshiba has introduced its latest Smart TV families, the W4, L4, L6 and L7 series HD LED TV models. Cloud TV is Toshiba’s new online TV concept, providing smart content access and search services, offering content, and access to social networks through the cloud.
Based on a new, unified Toshiba design concept, the TVs are available in matt and glossy black and in a variety of sizes, from 81 cm (32 ″) to 147 cm (58 ″). Stylish new models will be available in European stores from the second quarter of 2013.
The new Toshiba Cloud TV combines many features to complete your TV experience. The key benefit of the Toshiba Cloud TV service is personalization. Users can see content recommendations and social media feeds to suit their own tastes and settings. Using a special algorithm, a dynamic, 7-day, constantly updated list of offers is created for the viewer. The built-in, powerful search tool finds your favorite TV shows, series, movies, and more in the Electronic Program Guide (EPG), local network, and online video libraries, so the user can see more than just the program broadcast by the TV channels. In addition to personalized search and content recommendations, as well as premium TV and other practical (e.g. weather reporting) applications, users can even manage content using their mobile devices1. The Toshiba Cloud TV service is designed so that the user can easily and simply find the service they are looking for. The surface style is a key element in Toshiba's new unified TV design. The newly announced Toshiba models (W4, L4, L6 and L7 series) also offer a wide range of image sizes, materials and colors used, display technology and other features. The W4, L4, L6 and L7 series HD LED TVs are designed to meet Toshiba's new distinctive product design concept. The design emphasizes the narrow frame of the screen and the slim design, so the device fits perfectly into any environment. The frame of the W4, L4 and L6 series is matt black, while the L7 models are also available in a glossy black version.
