The AMD FX processor series is expanded

The FX-4170 is the first mass-produced processor in AMD's life to cross the 4 GHz clock. The quad-core processor has a base range of 4,2 GHz (4,3 GHz with Turbo Core) and 12 MB of cache.

The AMD FX processor series is expanded

It is well known that all AMD FX processors, without exception, are multiplier-free and this is not the case with the FX-4170. The novelty is in the 125-watt power class, which is not a very heart-pleasing sight depending on the expected power. The AMD FX-4170 is now available for pre-order at a $ 153 price tag.

The AMD FX-6200 has been featured in our news before. The six-core line-up processor offers 500 MHz higher operating frequency than the FX-6100. The speed, which also commands authority from the base, can be increased to 4,1 GHz via the Turbo Core. No architectural changes were made, so the processor was given 6 MB of L2 and 8 MB of L3 cache. If you want to invest in this type, it is worth collecting $ 188 before pre-ordering.

Unfortunately, the FX 8000 series is still not expanding, so the top predator of the series remains the FX 8150, which can manage a 3,6 GHz base clock (4,2 GHz Turbo Core) and 16 MB of cache. The processor is also available in a package that comes with the Antec Kühler H20 920 water cooler for a small surcharge. The FD8150FRGUBOX is the air-cooled version, and the FD8150FRGUWOX part number refers to the version with the water cooling system, but the price also makes it easier to find out, as the latter version is significantly more expensive - exactly $ 398,29 - than the air-cooled version.
