From September this year, the students of the János Neumann Faculty of Informatics of the University of Óbuda will be able to acquire master's skills in the protection of IT systems in an internationally certified course.

The NetAcademia Training Center, the Hungarian representative of the EC-Council, an international expert in ethical hacker courses, has reached an agreement with the János Neumann Faculty of Informatics (NIK) that students can take the company's security course from September and even become an International Certified Ethical Hacker. The tasks related to the training are performed by the specialists of NIK, the professional training of the university lecturers is assisted by the experts of NetAcademia.

“This training program also contributes to the ability of our university to issue IT engineers equipped with practical knowledge and complements our training program,” dr. László Nádai, Dean of NIK. The Neumann Faculty at Cisco, Intel, Microsoft, Nokia, Oracle, LG, Symantec, HP, IBM and SAP also operates a so-called competency center, which aims to provide students with up-to-date knowledge of related to the technologies of a particular company.

Starting in September of this year, the goal of ethical hacker training is to provide faculty students with a thorough understanding of the methods of cyber attacks and the mindset of hackers, and then to be able to manage the protection of the systems they oversee and effectively defend against hacker attacks.
