The DV8 will be a huge and powerful machine.

In addition to the Envy 15, HP is also thinking of creating more powerful portable machines, which has resulted in the announcement of the upcoming Calpella-based laptop, the Pavilion DV8. The machine comes with a huge 18,4-inch LCD display and Intel Core i7 processor, 8 GB of system memory, 1 TB of storage capacity and a minimum GeForce GT 230M graphics card with 1 GB of internal memory.

In addition to the ones just listed, the yet-priced powerplant will also provide a 5-in-1 card reader, webcam, Blu-ray combo drive, Altec Lansing speakers and a TV tuner. Windows 7 Home Premium is pre-installed as an operating system. The exact release date of the HP Pavilion is not yet known, but sources put it between October 18-22.
