Introducing the A4Tech X7 if you love to play

The A4Tech player mouse listens to the XL-750. It comes in a nice, fairly large box that clearly shows the purpose for which the controller is intended. At least for me, the tank refers to the game, maybe someone else experiences their daily work this way, if so, it’s time to change!

The box contains all the important information about the mouse, let’s see what they are!

  • 6 different DPI settings (600-800-1200-1600-2000-3600)
  • Depending on the setting, there are several different colored DPI toggle buttons
  • Rapid fire button that releases three shots with one click
  • Smart 4 and 5 buttons, forward and backward
  • Extremely fast update, 1000 Hz sample / second
  • Four different configurable USB refresh rates: 125-250-500-1000 Hz
  • FPS: 7080 frames per second
  • Image processing: 6,4 megapixels / second
  • SPI time: 1ms
  • Maximum acceleration: 20 g
  • Maximum speed: 45 inches / second (depending on the surface)
  • Cable length: 1,8 meters
  • Button life: 8 million clicks
  • Mouse foot life: 250.000 meters
  • 16 K on-board memory for storing macros

It can be seen from the range of abilities that A4Tech tried to please the players. The hardware knows basically everything we might need to play. The mouse allows for fast and accurate movement and aiming, which is essential for an FPS player. This is aided by fast image processing, 20 gs acceleration, and a 1000 Hz upgrade, which also requires the installation of software included with the mouse. Interestingly, however, the same software is not required for the DPI statement, it can be switched on without it.
I will return to the topic of software, but I will do this on a common page with the keyboard software.

Once you’ve browsed through the box enough, it’s time to expand it! Not much extra comes out of the package. You can find a tiny CD with the control software, a small pouch with 8 more soles that can be glued to the bottom of the mouse, and here, of course, is the rodent itself. With regard to the soles, it can be seen from the table that, depending on the surface, they can withstand stretches of up to 250 meters, which can be as much as 750 meters with the additional two sets of soles included in the package. Be it a man on his foot, or rather on the palm of his hand, who moves his mouse so much.

Let's see the XL-750BK itself, but not a frog, but a mouse! The rodent coming out of the box could even be said to be two-handed… if the buttons for the thumb were not just found on the left. Apart from this, the shape of the mouse is completely symmetrical, so it could have been advantageous for left-handers at some extra cost.

The large buttons on the top are interlocked with the back cover. The mouse can be bought with two types of coloring, and this part of the back button is what changes. There are flame tongues on the piece we visited, but those who like simpler things can also find plain black.

At the front of the cover, in the middle, you will find the DPI toggle button, the tilt and push roller, and the red switch that you can press to use three-shot firing.

The grip and materials of the mouse are pleasant. The USB cable could be a little lighter and thinner, but in return at least stocked. At first, the rodent seems a little light, but its weight distribution is okay, with its center of gravity a little from the middle to its buttocks, allowing for comfortable movement. Regarding its dimensions, it can be said that the manufacturer tried to favor those with larger palms, the convex back fits properly and stably into the palm.

Although I described at the beginning of the article that I don’t really play, I would still start my old big favorite, the third part of Quake, to try out a mouse to shoot the sticks a bit. Anno, when he was in the heyday of the game, the ball mice were the stars, so I have to get used to using optical mice while playing again and again. This went relatively easily with the XL-750BK. The traditional form, the buttons in the usual place, was not a big challenge, at least in terms of learning. I can connect it to two points. One is due to the weight of the mouse, I would have loaded a few grams plus to my liking, the other is the thickness of the cable, which made the wire a little stiff, and because of the small weight, I felt a slight but obstructive movement.

After trying the mouse, I also unpacked the keyboard to play with it a bit as well. Let's see how much you liked it!
