ATI Catalyst 7.4: Mandatory for Radeon owners
The ATI Catalyst driver package has been released in April.

ATI Catalyst 7.4 includes the following components:
- Radeon Driver 8.36
- Multimedia Center 9.16
- HydraVision
- Remote Wonder 3.04
- WDM drive
- South Bridge / IXP drive
- Catalyst Control Center 7.4
Supported Radeon series:
- X1950, X1900, X1800, X1650, X1600, X1550, X1300, X1050, X850, X800, X700, X600, X550, X300
- 9800, 9700, 9600, 9500
- the driver can also be used with All-in-Wonder graphics controllers based on one of the GPUs listed above
- does not support HDMI-equipped X1600 - ATI recommends version 7.3
Unsupported Radeons: 9250, 9200, 9000, 8500, 7500, 7200 and 7000. For these, only the Catalyst version 6.5 no additional software support is expected.
Supported AMD chipsets: Radeon Xpress 1250, Radeon X1250, Radeon X1200, Radeon Xpress 1150, Radeon Xpress 1100, Radeon Xpress 200.
Changes from the previous release (7.3):
- Introducing Avivo Video Converter: an application available only on 32-bit Windows Vista that lets you convert your video files to MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 / DivX, WMA, H.264 / AVC, and more. format files
- Performance improvements under Windows Vista in games using OpenGL: more than 15% acceleration expected - ATI cites Doom 3, Quake 4 and Prey as examples
