ATI Mobility Radeon X800XT

ATI’s next high-end graphics controller will arrive on May 10, but it won’t be the coveted R520 yet, but the M28PRO, which is catching up with laptops.

The controller that goes into laptops under the name Mobility Radeon X800 XT is clearly NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 Ultra will fight against. Presumably MXM and AXIOMIn addition to their size, the cards, which are available in the Radeon X256 XT format, do not differ much from their desktop counterparts, ie they are equipped with 3 MB of GDDR800 memory with a clock speed that is unknown, but presumably quite fast.

In addition to the external size, the main difference between the desktop and the portable version is the much more advanced energy management in favor of the latter, which makes it run much cooler and can handle less energy.
