AMD: NVIDIA is virtually giving up the player market

Richard Huddy’s insight into the plans of his ancient rival.

Richard Huddy, AMD's head of developer relations, shared his views with the general public regarding the future of the video card market, with particular reference to NVIDIA. For him, it seems that "NVIDIA is leaving the gaming business a little bit".

Huddy explained that NVIDIA is currently focusing on supercomputing and GPGPU calculations, as witnessed at this year’s GTC event, which is virtually a 180-degree turnaround from last year’s Nvision event, where the company still focused on gamers in every way.

According to him, this is not the case with AMD, that they specifically prioritize the needs of gamers, in his view, NVIDIA has turned its back on its player-minded customers in a rather shameful way at the moment.
