Symbian was relegated to second place

According to recent surveys, Symbian is no longer the best-selling operating system in the mobile market.

Although it has long been almost certain that Symbian will soon lose its popularity as several manufacturers turn their backs on it over the past year, Nokia will not give up, it will continue to patch up the system, the only question is how long ?

Symbian was relegated to second place

However, based on Canalys ’latest analysis, it is clear that in the last quarter of 2010, Android did take the lead over Symbian. During that period, 33,3 million Android-based devices were sold, while 31 million Symbian devices were sold. The results are clear, but it should be noted that while Android is offered by quite a few handset manufacturers installed on their own product, we can buy a Symbian phone only from Nokia nowadays, so the Finnish company is not in an easy position to compete. We will see soon how the shares develop this year.
