During the festive period, nearly 10 million SMS messages were sent by Telenor customers, and although the volume of Christmas SMS messages was lower than last year, this year 209 text messages were sent in one second at the busiest moment.

During the Christmas period, Telenor's customers used the mobile Internet even more. A total of 136 GB of data was downloaded and uploaded between December 183 and 24; 26 percent more than a year earlier. The busiest period was the evening of the last day of Christmas: on December 54,1, between 26pm and 19pm, data traffic reached 21GB.

As last year, many people sent their best wishes via MMS. More than 90 multimedia messages were transmitted by the service’s subscribers between 24 and 26 December this year. The busiest period was Christmas Eve: on December 24, Telenor's customers sent nearly 6 million SMS and 57 MMS. There was a moment when the number of SMS reached 209 per second. Although the number of text messages sent fell slightly short of traffic in 2011, this decline also suggests a significant increase in the proportion of those who mostly connect with friends, loved ones and via email or social networking sites over the course of a year. their best wishes.
