On the right, the top USB and optical drive remained in place, but below them there was nothing but the ExpressCard slot and WiFi switch (the U50VG had eSATA here, another USB and audio I / O). The hardware structure of the U80V is similar to the U50VG, it features a bull-powered proci, plenty of memory, and a good dedicated graphics controller. From the image below we can read what these are:
Core 2 Duo T9550, PM45 chipset, 4 GB DDR2 800 MHz memory, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570 512 MB with own VRAM. If we take a closer look, the CPU’s 2800 MHz clock may appear, probably because the U80V in High Performance mode raises the proci multiplier by half a unit. We can definitely say that it is a powerful machine, so we could not miss not merging it with the U50VG. Everest Read Test Suite:
We could not leave the U80V without stress either, the proci resting in the IDLE state rested from 45 ° C after 10 minutes at 72 ° C, which is not small, but not even in sight with the critical category.
As for the battery: We also tested the operating time here with continuous movie watching and the same Rescue Me DivX, but we forgot to mention that during the measurement we set the volume to 25% and the WiFi was also active. Knowing these criteria, we think the "range" of 2 hours and 53 minutes is a good result, although this was achieved with the larger — 5600 mAh — model of the two available versions (our U80V came with it).
