The first NVIDIA Tegra-based netbook may debut on Black Friday
The first NVIDIA Tegra-based devices are arriving pretty slowly.
Most recently a Zune HD NVIDIA Tegra, which was once again in the spotlight because of a netbook. Mobinnova's 8,9-inch machine does not rely on Intel's pair, an Atom and the GMA 950 for satisfactory performance, but on NVIDIA's Tegra, which is essentially a combination of an ARM11 processor and a GeForce GPU.
Also on display at Computex, the 836-gram fanless netbook is equipped with a Wi-Fi radio and 3G modem, and its battery allows for 5 hours of HD video or 24 hours of music playback (folded).
Mobinnova’s machine will certainly land on specialty store shelves with a purchase price of around $ 200, expected on Black Friday, the Friday after Thanksgiving, the fourth Thursday in November.
