Introductory

Anyone who follows my tests may already know that baking and cooking is not far away from me. I have quite a few machines at home and there are machines I didn’t regret the money from and bought expensive to serve for a long time. This is also what I use to make doughs, creams and mousses.

That's why I wasn't happy when Blitzwolf started banging VB1 to try and write something about it. I was a little scared of him that next to my own machine, the Blitzwolf wouldn’t hit my stimulus threshold because well, it cost less than half mine. So how much worse could it be?

Then of course I gave in to my waist, tried it out. In this article, you can read my unshaven opinion and, of course, a little comparison with my own machine.

Packaging, accessories

With this machine, it's worth writing about the accessories and less about the packaging. The latter is the usual green and white Blitzwolf packaging, a good big box, quite a considerable weight as well.

Inside, however, a flood of real accessories welcomes us. This is not surprising, as we already know from the introduction that this machine replaces 7 others. Let's see what we get!

  • Basic machine with EU cable
  • Stainless steel mixing bowl with a capacity of 5,5 liters
  • A lid for the cauldron to prevent the dough and cream from bouncing off
  • Glass cup for blending
  • Kneading shovel
  • Cream blade
  • Whisk
  • Meat grinder adapter with screw and knife
  • Tray on top of the meat grinder
  • 3 different hole sizes for meat mincing
  • 4 types of dough inserts
  • 2 types of sausage / sausage / salami filling adapter
  • Press for the meat grinder

As you can see there is something to watch!

The accessories are good quality, although the wall of the steel bowl is a bit thinner than my own machine. However, the gentlemanly content of this is greater, so it is a draw. The accessory for kneading the dough seems a bit light, I don’t know if it’s because of the material or hollow inside (i.e. it might be made of a tube).

The whisk and cream shovel are completely competitive pieces. The smoothie cup is made of glass, which is surprisingly thick glass. For this reason, its mass is also considerable. I think this, the bottle is a clear advantage, is much easier to wash and does not age than plastic cups.

The parts of the meat grinder look good to me. There will be no problem with the aluminum parts, but after a few uses, the clutch will also look good. The tray of the grinder is made of aluminum, and it is easy to clean.

So far so good, let's see the machine!

The base machine

As it is a many in one machine the size is human and the weight is not small either. It is exactly 57,7 x 28 x 39 centimeters and weighs 11 pounds. The package is obviously even heavier with plenty of accessories.

It is shaped like any other large bowl mixer, meaning it has a protruding neck under the bowl. The neck can be opened so that we can take out the bowl, put it back. On the fixed part we find a large knob and a smaller lever, on the open it is a display and three pushbuttons.

Turning the large wheel to the left will start the machine while holding the knob. Turning to the right also starts, but by turning the knob further you can control the speed in 8 steps. Use the buttons below the display to set how long the machine will run, and use the middle OK button to save the setting. The display shows the set speed and the remaining operating time.

As you can see in the pictures, the cup can be placed backwards and the meat grinder adapter works from the front. By default, both parts are covered with a cover on the machine. At the meat grinder, it is mounted on four magnets, so it will not break off, it will last forever.

What’s important and useful is that the legs of the base machine have suction cups so you won’t dance off the table during operation.

I told pretty much everything, the only thing that missed the power of the machine was 1500 watts.

Use and experience

Well, at the moment of writing this article, I’m past a bit of mincing, whipping, making pasta, but if I have time for it, another round of cooking will follow this weekend, and if my time allows, I’ll make a demonstration video too!

Okay, let’s start there by unpacking, washing everything, and then I started assembling the robot. My first remark was that everything is difficult. It is difficult to put the whisk, the goblet, the bowl. Everything needs a little bit. Luckily, it's pretty much 4-5-6 easier to pick up and install, so you just have to dig in the parts a bit. Let’s say I didn’t have one on my own machine, but as far as I was lucky, I would have torn it to small pieces.

The assembly and the quality of the materials are fine anyway, here the cheapness strikes. For example, the filling plastic added to the meat grinder. In addition, the material is quite thin and hollow inside. This is also the holder for the sausage filling accessory. It is an unreasonable solution to see if I bought such a machine, I would soon make some ordinary filler out of hardwood.

So there are such weirdness, but luckily that’s not the feature. Most of the parts and accessories are trustworthy.

I tried the mincing of the meat specifically for the article, for which I bought a pound of pork legs. The mincing itself is pretty much out of fashion anyway, they grind it at the butcher's counter, I ask, you can also get a tray of minced meat, although I don't like it so much, it's better to know what was minced into my food.

However, I do not feel that the grinder is superfluous, because it is best to grind the meat fresh before processing, and we can also choose the fineness of the grind. Luckily, the grinder adapter washes away for about 3 minutes, so for my part, I would definitely use the meat grinder at home.

The only icing on the cake is that it has a sausage filling adapter, two different sizes as well. I know this is no longer fashionable in Pestland, but in the countryside it still happens that the sausage is filled at home. We put the smallest hole steel in this machine, grind the meat, mix it with the spices and salt, and then we can fill the mixed material into the gut.

If that’s not enough for you, there are four types of dough-making inserts. I haven’t tried this yet, but I may be making time for it soon, I’ve never made pasta at home before, I preferred store-bought Italian. So it's time for that too!

Smoothie. Well, I actually made a smoothie in the first step, but the next one could easily be a cream soup. The fact is that he creamed the fruit nicely at the fastest rate. Not as bad as a professional smoothie, but so much so that I dare to take a celery cream or broccoli cream soup with it.

The fruit smoothie was flawless anyway, a little milk, a little cinnamon and sheep's milk, I could already drink the thick juice.

BlitzWolf's robot is a real kitchen fairy 16

I also tried the bowl and the whisk. As a first test, I made a thick foam out of the protein of 3 eggs, which became flawless. But to start something with the used egg, in the second stage I also beaten the yolk, mixed the two, went with a little flour and made a little sponge cake dough. This is really just for the sake of the test.

Let's sum it up

I am pleased! I was really curious about what this machine knows, and if I want to be really honest, that’s exactly what we can expect from it because of its price.

BlitzWolf's robot is a real kitchen fairy 17

For quality, it is above the cheap ALDI, LIDL, Tesco machines, sometimes much above them, but still well below my own kitchen machine. On the other hand, not so much below the price difference, especially that there is no e.g. smoothie set with meat grinder. That is, it can be added, but approx. it costs as much as this whole Blitzwolf machine complete.

The power is in the BlitzWolf BW-VB1, written at 1500 watts, you probably know that. If I really want to get involved in something, I have three things in mind. One is that there could be another gear above the maximum speed, my taste would want. The other is that they could have invented a cap on the stub and bottom of the whisk adapter, because not surprisingly, the various outputs all rotate and work when we turn on the machine.

BlitzWolf's robot is a real kitchen fairy 18

That is, the clutch under the smoothie cup rotates and the mincer clutch also rotates, but these are not visible when the covers are put on. However, there is no cover at the bottom. That shouldn't have been saved. True to the features, the capabilities don’t deteriorate from it, but even then.

BlitzWolf's robot is a real kitchen fairy 19

The third is that instead of aluminum, expensive machines use steel in more places (e.g. in the tray of the meat grinder) so they can be put in the dishwasher while aluminum is not so recommended. Let’s say this is a problem that is understandable somewhere, it wouldn’t have fit into the price. Fortunately, as I wrote, washing the parts is no more than a few minutes.

So, overall, I'm satisfied. What the machine promises, we get from it, it can be used really well. It's big, but it's not big, I hope you can see it in the pictures. It would fit in the closet, but we also have my own machine on the counter, I don't feel like packing it all the time.

So the point is, it's far from worth the price. Especially since I got a coupon for that too, which can make it a little cheaper. The delivery is, of course, from the Czech warehouse, so there is no extra VAT or duty payable, no customs procedure, and approx. you can start operating it a week after ordering!

Use to purchase BGHU1270 coupon code, the price will be HUF 45 (if it is sold out, the BG975475 with coupon code 46 800 HUF) in:
