The quad-core Penryn has finally arrived in the EU

It is not with its cheapness that the newcomer will conquer.

The first Yorkfield shipment reached European shores this morning. In particular, we are talking about the Q9300, which ticks at 2,5 GHz and has 6 MB of second-level cache, and its FSB is "throbbing" at 1333 MHz. In England and Germany, the people there can already rush to the shops for them, but so far it has not been possible to indicate a budget-friendly amount on the price tag: 260 euros or 190 British pounds, which corresponds to approximately 70 Hungarian forints.

The quad-core Penryn has finally arrived in the EU

If all this is not enough and the Q9300's "stupid" nature bothers you, you will have to wait a little longer for the Q9450, which will be released with a doubled second-level cache (12 MB) and an increased clock speed (2,66 GHz) - presumably at an even higher price.
